Today, we’re diving into the incredible journey of self-discovery, particularly focusing on the profound experience of hearing God’s voice. You see, hearing God isn’t some mystical or elusive phenomenon; it’s a reality that has been present in our lives all along. Through this journey, we aim to deepen our understanding and recognition of God’s voice amidst the noise of our everyday lives. One key aspect we explore is the concept of our internal enemies: sin, self, and Satan. Surprisingly, the most formidable adversary isn’t Satan but ourselves. Over time, we’ve internalized lies about our worth and capabilities, leading us to doubt ourselves and our ability to hear from God. By identifying and challenging these lies, we open ourselves to the truth of God’s voice, which is gentle, peaceful, and encouraging. We learn to capture every thought, discerning whether it aligns with God’s truth or perpetuates the lies we’ve believed about ourselves. Through reflection, repentance, and prayer, we begin to recognize God’s voice in various forms—a gentle nudge, a reassuring feeling, or a relevant Scripture verse. It’s a process of trusting and leaning into the voice of our Heavenly Father, knowing that His guidance always leads to freedom and empowerment.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
