One thing that pops up for me when I think of reprioritizing my schedule is getting (or staying) in shape! Over the past few weeks, I have talked about how important it is to have Sabbath rest, but another important priority is exercise.  Our physical frames matter, because people see God in and through them. Of course we have spiritual nature, but our physical frames give our spiritual selves home. As the verse states below, they also give home to God the Holy Spirit!

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV)

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

So, What… for This Week?

I spent almost 2 full years away from the gym after my neck surgery, but in April, I was FINALLY able to go back to my exercise routine at the gym, and I feel both physically AND emotionally better!  The gym is my “happy place!” As you think about YOUR time and how you spend it, don’t forget to reprioritize exercise.  God and your family want you around for a LONG time, so it may be time to think about getting into shape!
