Last week, I talked about 4 possible steps we can take to improve relationships. The first area I mentioned was being aware of your own issues! Are YOU aware of your anger, frustration or judging ways? The first step toward freedom is actually recognizing there is a problem. So many times, people don’t know change is needed because they blame everyone else for the conflict that THEY start. We have to look in the mirror once in a while and recognize that WE might be the PROBLEM!
Matthew 7:3-5 (NIV)
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
So, What… for This Week?
Remember, transformative change starts with your willingness to actually CHANGE. God wants to help you, but you need to recognize that change is needed. Be aware of what YOU need to work on this week and take steps toward self improvement that will make all relationships better!
Nice, John. Short, sweet and to the point!
